Welcome to Electric Pants (“the App”, “we”, “our”, “us”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on your personal iOS and iPadOS devices in accordance with these Terms.

You may not:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the App
  • Use the App for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the App or its content

3. The Service

Electric Pants is an RSS reader that allows you to:

  • Subscribe to RSS, Atom, and Reddit feeds
  • Organize feeds into folders
  • Read and browse content from your subscribed sources

The App fetches content directly from third-party feed sources. We do not control, endorse, or take responsibility for any content provided by these third-party sources.

4. Third-Party Content

Content you access through Electric Pants comes from third-party websites and services. You are responsible for:

  • Complying with any terms of service of the content sources you subscribe to
  • Your use of content obtained through the App

We are not liable for the accuracy, legality, or appropriateness of third-party content.

5. Data & Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle information. In short: we don’t collect any personal data.

6. No Warranty

The App is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, about the App’s operation, reliability, availability of third-party feeds, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Feed availability depends on third-party sources that may change, become unavailable, or modify their content at any time.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the App, including but not limited to:

  • Unavailability of third-party feeds
  • Changes to third-party content or services
  • Loss of data stored on your device

8. Changes to the App & Terms

We may update or discontinue the App (or features within it) at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms; changes will take effect when posted in the App or on our website.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.

10. Open Source Acknowledgments

Electric Pants may include open source software components. Applicable licenses and attributions are available within the App.
